French news
grades 2 and 3
Dear Parents, This month, the children will be reading familiar French texts in class and a different one will be introduced every2 weeks. We will practice reading and acting out the text using actions. This is a fun way to practice their oral and reading comprehension skills. Grammar concepts will be introduced while reading. During our centers, the children will collaborate in small groups by playing games and completing written activities related to the story. The following story will be introduced this week and will continue well into next week. A new story will be posted soon. The grammar concept introduced in this story is the noun, and they were asked to search for the nouns in the story. You may practice reading the story with your child paying close attention to correct pronunciation and using expression and gestures. This is a reminder to all grade 3 students: ALL FRENCH IMMERSION FORMS NEED TO BE HANDED IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. A big thank you goes out to all those students who have already handed in their forms. Merci! Madame Panetta |
